New use
Imagine that a large construction is to be moved to a new location and given a new use. It could be an oil platform, an aircraft carrier, an airplane, a grain silo, a spaceship, or some other large structure. Where should the structure be placed? What will it be used for?
You will create two collages showing the new location and use:
1. Show the construction seen from the outside in its new surroundings.
2. Show the new usage from the user's perspective.
In the collages, you are free to use materials such as cardboard, paper and textiles, cut and paste from magazines, newspapers, printouts of images from the internet. The collage can be made by hand or digitally with e.g. photoshop.
You must give each of the collages a name. The collages are presented on separate A4 sheets. If the collages are made by hand, they must be photographed or scanned.
The assignment is evaluated according to how innovative, interesting or unexpected the answer is - not how realistic the idea is.
